Do not study medical and dental education in Pakistan, NMC, DCI says

SRINAGAR: The National Medical Commission (NMC) and the Dental Council of India (DCI) have advised all concerned not to travel to Pakistan to pursue medical or dental studies, a government spokesman said. Jammu and Kashmir to Jammu.

According to the communiqués issued in this regard by the NMC Secretary and the DCI Secretary, any Indian national, Indian foreign citizen who intends to gain admission for MBBS/BDS or equivalent medical/dental course in any college Medical/Dental from Pakistan will not be eligible for appearing for FMGE/selection test or seeking employment in India on the basis of degrees (in any subject) acquired in Pakistan except those who had joined the colleges/academic institutions in Pakistan before Dec 2018 or later after getting security clearance from MHA till date.

“However, migrants and their children who have completed a medical/dental degree or higher education in Pakistan and obtained Indian citizenship would continue to be eligible to appear in FMGE/NEXT/screening test or seek employment in India after obtaining security clearance from MHA,” NMC and DCI said.
