In line with Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann’s instructions on providing government jobs to young people in the state, letters of appointment were handed over to eight junior paramedics from the Department of Medical Education and Research on Friday.
The Minister of Medical Education and Research, Chetan Singh Jauramajra while handing over this appointment letter said that the process of filling vacancies in the department will continue so that quality healthcare institutions can be provided to the people of the state.
Mr. Jauramajra further added that since May 2022, recruitments have been made for a total of 967 positions, including 880 duty nurses and 87 paramedics. He indicated that all these appointments were made on the basis of merit after passing the written test, adopting a transparent selection procedure.
Meanwhile, the Minister inaugurated the portal of the Council of Homeopathic System of Medicine of Punjab. Jauramajra said that this facility would provide online services to people in the state. He said this online portal would benefit registered homeopathic doctors and new students in the state by saving them time.
He said Provisional Registration, Permanent Registration, Renewal and Restoration and Verification/NOC of Qualification and Registration have been initiated. These services are available at https://eservices.punjab.gov.in and citizens can also visit any nearest Sewa Kendra to avail the services.
He informed that previous governments failed to recognize the importance of technology in facilitating the life of an ordinary man. It required all of its staff to use technology platforms to improve service delivery and increase productivity.
Eminent among others Secretary of Medical Education and Research Mrs. Alkananda Dayal, Director of Medical Education Research Dr. Avnish Kumar, Chairman of Homeopathic Council Tejinder Pal Singh, Co-Director Dr. Akashdeep Agarwal, Co-Director Dental Dr. Puneet Girdhar , Deputy Director General NIC Mr. Vivek Verma and Registrar Ayurveda Board Dr. Sanjeev Goyal were also present on this occasion.
